ZEPHYRUS® Accessories of vacuum manifolds
When you decide to use Mini Spin Columns from your extraction kit on ZEPHYRUS® Vacuum Manifold UNI you first need to attach clear acrylic Spin Column Adaptor Board with attached rubber Luer Connector and lay it on the top of manifold’s Upper Chamber (as the 96-column plate).
Since Mini Spin Columns have a very short tip of filter column, they may not fit properly to the rubber Luer Connector. In this case we recommend to use our Luer Connector Adaptor Disposable (ZVM-300 – 16) to assure best column fit. The Combifix Adaptor (#4090306) from B Braun Medical may be also used alternatively.
In addition the Luer Connector Adaptor Disposable (ZVM-300 – 16) can be used in case you are concerned about potential contamination of your samples, especially when large number of clinical samples is used. There is no need to autoclave the rubber Luer Connectors in between of runs, you simply use the disposable adaptor and throw it away when finished with the washing protocol.
