EliZyme™ RiboProtect

Introducing EliZyme™ RiboProtect RNase Inhibitor, a recombinant protein specifically designed to effectively block a wide range of ribonucleases, ensuring reliable protection for your RNA against degradation. This inhibitor is specifically developed for RNA-sensitive applications (RNA isolation, RT-qPCR, cDNA synthesis, and RNA sequencing), where even small amounts of RNase can have a significant negative impact on RNA quality and experimental outcomes.

EliZyme™ RiboProtect exhibits remarkable stability across a wide range of reaction conditions, maintaining effective inhibition of RNase A even at temperatures up to 65 °C for at least 30 minutes. Furthermore, unlike the human placental version of the protein, EliZyme™ RiboProtect lacks cysteine residues that are prone to oxidation. This unique characteristic not only enhances its thermostability but also renders it more resistant to oxidative stress. EliZyme™ RiboProtect RNase Inhibitor is capable of blocking the activity of various ribonucleases, including neutral-type eukaryotic RNases such as RNases A, B, and C. However, it does not inhibit RNases T1, T2, U1, U2, CL3, RNase I, and H.

EliZyme™ RiboProtect does not interfere with the activity of other enzymes, such as reverse transcriptases, RNA polymerases, or Taq DNA polymerase, making it compatible with enzymatic reactions involving RNA. The inhibitor can be inactivated by heating at 75 °C for 15 minutes.
