EliZyme™ HS Robust

EliZyme™ HS Robust is a specialized polymerase that has been designed to amplify difficult templates with high efficiency and reliability. It incorporates proprietary modifications that increase processivity and advanced buffer chemistry to enable successful amplification of complex templates with high GC or AT content, low abundance, and PCR inhibitors.

The enzyme also contains hot-start technology, which prevents non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation by inactivating the polymerase below 65 °C until the initial activation step at 95 °C. This antibody-mediated hot start formulation enables specific and sensitive amplification from low copy number target sequences.

EliZyme™ HS Robust has many applications, including difficult PCR, low copy template detection, crude sample PCR, colony PCR, long-range PCR, multiplex PCR, TA cloning, and next-generation re-sequencing. It is a highly robust enzyme with three times higher fidelity than Taq polymerase and exhibits a high tolerance to PCR inhibitors, making it ideal for colony and crude sample PCR.

PCR products generated using EliZyme™ HS Robust are A-tailed and can be cloned into TA cloning vectors. The enzyme is supplied with an optimized buffer containing dNTPs and MgCl₂ and is stable at 25 °C for four weeks. EliZyme™ HS Robust also offers high yields under standard and fast PCR conditions. For added convenience, the enzyme is available as a 2X ready mix, EliZyme™ HS Robust MIX, which contains all reaction components except primers and template. EliZyme™ HS Robust MIX Red includes a preloaded red dye suitable for direct loading and tracking during agarose gel electrophoresis.
