EliZyme™ FAST Taq

EliZyme™ FAST Taq is a PCR-ready mix designed for routine PCR applications, TA cloning, high-throughput PCR, methylated DNA amplification, crude sample PCR, and standard and fast PCR. It offers increased PCR success rates for amplicons up to 6kb, ultra-low background DNA, and efficient specific amplification from complex templates, including GC-rich and AT-rich sequences.

EliZyme™ FAST Taq contains a robust enzyme that performs consistently well on a broad range of templates. It has 5’-3’ exonuclease activity. PCR products generated with EliZyme™ FAST Taq are A-tailed and can be cloned into TA cloning vectors. The mix contains an advanced buffer chemistry that includes Mg and dNTPs, resulting in high yields under standard and fast PCR conditions.

EliZyme™ FAST Taq is designed to simplify workflows and reduce pipetting errors. The mix is available in a preloaded red dye format, EliZyme™ FAST Taq MIX Red, which is suitable for direct loading and tracking during agarose gel electrophoresis. This format allows reduced pipetting and speeds up post-PCR electrophoresis since no extra dye is required to run samples on an agarose gel.

The production of DNA polymerase contained in EliZyme™ FAST Taq involves an enhanced 12-step purification strategy that includes physical, chemical, and enzymatic removal of host DNA. This results in ultra-low background DNA and high purity of the DNA polymerase. EliZyme™ FAST Taq provides the research community with a convenient, affordable, and versatile master mix for routine applications that allows for high speed, yield, specificity.
